Royce Epstein is the Senior Director of Design Insights for Mohawk Group. A 30+ year veteran in the architecture and design industry, Royce has extensive experience practicing in design firms and working in product development for carpet and textiles.

Royce shares her passion and vision for design, cultural trends, and the meaning of materials in a broad context. As both historian and futurist, she has a unique purview in the design industry, always putting design in context, trying to find significance in cultural shifts and how they shape the language of design. 

Constantly on the watch for new trends in all aspects of culture, Royce feeds this insight to our industry’s touch points as a designer, trend forecaster, educator, lecturer, and writer. Her specific interests are in environmental and social sustainability, materials, and using strategic design thinking for positive impacts.
