CALL FOR ARCHITECTURE WEEK PARTICIPATION: Host or Attend a Student Firm Tour!

AIA Central NJ invites member firms, high school and college students, educators, and community members to participate in a section-wide series of firm open houses.

These tours connect students and the public with practicing architects to explore the profession, design process, and career pathways in architecture.

Member firms: Sign up to host a student tour of your firm and showcase your practice. Please fill out the Firm Participation Form HERE!

High school students, college students, teachers, administrators, parents/guardians: Visit participating firms to explore the architecture profession, discover the design process, and learn about career pathways. Please fill out the Student Participation Form HERE!

Detailed agendas for the afternoon will be at the discretion of each hosting firm.

AIA Central New Jersey offers the following suggestions to member firms:

• Through your work, discuss what you find inspirational in design, art, and culture.

• Discuss how you integrate sustainable practices into your work.

• Discuss how you integrate design and artistic expression into your practice.

• Discuss how your work integrates with the greater community and addresses cultural development and understanding.

• What practical challenges have you faced in merging the realms of art, business, and technology.

• Show a set of drawings, renderings, models (always a hit!), software.
