Three AIACNJ Presidents present at AIA Women's Leadership Summit!

As part of the 2025 AIA Women’s Leadership Summit in Atlanta, AIA Central New Jersey Presidents Tania Althoff (2025), Erin Sharp‑Newton (2024), and Elina Shchervinsky (2023) represented AIA Central New Jersey on the panel “Three Journeys, One Vision: Women Leading AIA Forward.”
Representing three consecutive years of women presidents for the section, the panel highlighted how these leaders became involved in AIA, leveraged their influence for the benefit of members, and implemented actionable strategies to energize the section. Their discussion underscored the impact of lifting others and channeling life experiences into meaningful outcomes.
Moderated by Patri Acevedo Fuentes, the panel provided an opportunity to connect with attendees from across the country and to demonstrate leadership in action. The three leaders shared moments of triumph, struggle, and the ways they supported — and were supported by — others. The panel emphasized the power of shared experience. This approach aligns directly with the mission of AIA Central New Jersey: legacy, uplift, and the encouragement of authentic leadership while amplifying the voices of women across the profession. Together, they emphasized that leadership is not a solo endeavor; it thrives when diverse voices are engaged, respected, and integrated.
